[vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=”” box_shadow_on_row=”no”][vc_column][vc_column_text]I am repeating a variation of these from the breakfast/smoothie section of the book because the cherry-chocolate nut milk drink is an amazing dessert type treat!

  • 1 cup of fresh raw almonds soaked in water for at least 8 hours or 1 cup of brazil nuts soaked for at least 15 minutes
  • 5 cups fresh spring or filtered water (less water for thicker consistency)
  • Dash of sea salt
  • 1 tsp alcohol free vanilla extract or whole vanilla bean
  • 1 – 2 T honey (optional and I never include it)

Soak the almonds in water for 8 – 12 hours or Brazil nuts for at least 15 minutes. Drain and rinse the soaked nuts. Add the nuts to a blender with the water, sea salt, honey and vanilla. Blend until the nuts are fully processed. Optionally, you may pour the milk through a nut milk bag to remove any of the nut solids.

Recipe suggestion:

Cherry Chocolate Milk

One of my favorite uses of nut milk, is this absolutely yummy treat that satisfies any sweet or chocolate craving. I take half of the nut milk from the recipe above, I add an entire bag of frozen organic cherries and 1 – 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder and blend.
