How to Have a Great Week

Have you been feeling burned out lately? Do you feel that you are simply worn out and do not have the passion and enthusiasm that you used to have or know that you could have but don’t know how to get it back? Well I’m inspired today to share an important concept with you to continue you on your path to a more Triumphant Life.
You know for years I’ve been speaking to you about taking good care of yourself and making your wellness a number one priority. Hopefully by now you realize that how you live impacts how you feel. It is critical to get lots of good quality rest, drink plenty of fresh pure water, nourish your body with healthy foods rich with colorful fruits and vegetables, move your body preferably outside to breath fresh air and get some sun, and to nourish your mind with positive thoughts while managing stress. I know that sounds like a lot but it’s simple if these things become your daily habits. So this is how you keep your energy and clarity to get you through each day of the week.
But why do you still feel burned out sometimes? It may simply be that you are carrying around with you a heavy load. You carry with you all of the worry and concern over things that may not have gone perfectly over the past week (or month or year or lifetime). I call this your baggage.
Imagine that over the past week you packed your bags and traveled out into the world. You had experiences, some of which were great and some were not so great. The secret to living a lighter, high energy existence, is to come home (figuratively or literally) and unpack your bags. Look at each item and see what is good and celebrate what went well, and look at what is simply dirty laundry of mistakes or miscommunications or eating something unhealthy where you know you could have made better choices. Learn from these experiences then unload the dirty laundry and let the washing machine take it all away.
I like to choose one day a week that is my replenishing day. I prefer Sunday but any day will do if Sunday ends up being a busy day. I take this day as a day to regroup. Not only am I actually doing laundry and catching up on emails etc… (which can be refreshing), but I also take the time to evaluate the past week. I celebrate in my mind what went well and I enjoy the feeling of gratitude over all that I’ve experienced. I look at where things could have gone better and I learn from these, laugh at myself over these, and step forward with greater wisdom and clarity for my new week and I set the intention to be the best I can be.
Many people do this type of self analysis at the new year. The review the past year and make resolutions for the new year. This can be helpful and I highly encourage everyone to do this, but not just at the new year. Start each day fresh because the beginning of each new day is actually the start of the next week, month, and year for you.
Today is a new day, the beginning of a new week, the start of a new month (the next 30 days), and the beginning of a new year (the next 12 months). When you learn from the past and let it go, you will enter into the new day, week, month or year feeling lighter, energized and more passionate and enthusiastic for what each new day will bring. Embrace each day as a new beginning and your life will expand in the most amazing ways.
